Moving…

Hey everyone,

I`ve decided to move this blog to http://eurenssa.wordpress.com

That was initially the page for the Romanian version, but as all the communication is made in English, I think it`s easier to type the name without the ‘2008′ part :)

Also, maybe that will be the official Eurenssa blog from now on :D

Cheers,

G.

Tough choice

It seems that we have a small problem, if we can name it like this :D

The votes right now are looking like this

Czech Republic – 1
Serbia – 8
Latvia – 8

In order to solve this situation, we have to take another vote, this time choosing from Serbia and Latvia.

The deadline for the new vote is November 25th.

PS:
I`m sorry for Czech Republic, still I hope we`ll meet in Serbia or Latvia in 2009 !

I know everyone was anxious to find out where the next Eurenssa will take place, I am too, but we`ll have to wait a little more !

Hugs,

G.

Student Summit for Sustainability (S3) Invitation

Hey everyone!

Ioana has just received this by email, maybe some of you are interested.

I’m sending this to all of the Eurenssa email adresses I could find from the webpages of your meetings since 2006.
You don’t know me, but I do know of you – I received the invitation about the Eurenssa 2008 meeting here in Aalborg, Denmark. I didn’t attend the meeting in Romania, but I haven’t forgotten you.

I’m the environmental coordinator (part-time) of my university and I am writing to you right now from the 2008 EMSU conference (Environmental Management for Sustainable Universities) in Barcelona. Actually, I’m writing during the closing speeches
I think this conference series is of interest to you, so I am inviting you to take a look at the homepage: www.emsu.org
More importantly, I am writing to let you know about the follow-up EMSU conference in 2010 in Holland. The organizers have just spoken here and have presented their ideas for the 2010 conference, and they want stronger student involvement – so please, consider attending!

Here is an invitation to their next meeting in Zurich

Unfortunately, I can`t go, I`m all caught up with work, but it really looks like an interesting conference. Be sure to check it out!

Thank you!

Eurenssa 2008 Participants

Eurenssa 2008 Participants

Now, when Eurenssa has come to an end, we want to thank our sponsors , who had the courage to get involved in a project that doesn`t bring any immediate earnings. Eurenssa wouldn`t have been possible without the support of Mr. Ion Stoican, Mayor of Costesti, who provided us with all the facilities. Also, the support given by the Ramnicu Valcea City Hall, through Mr. Deputy Mayor Eusebiu Veteleanu made our visits in the Valcea county possible.

We, the ecostudents, are thankful to Prof. Dr. Dan Manoleli, Director of CESEC, for encouraging us throughout the organization of the project and in the toughest moments. We also want to thank the REAL Hypermarket for the foods products they offered us. We want to thank the Terra Mileniul III Foundation, Radio Lynx and the Kogayon Association, who helped us with organizing and with the whole progress of the event.

We are ready to move on to Eurenssa 2009 and we are convinced that this project made it clear it is needed that this initiative continues.

For designating the next country to host Eurenssa, we are expecting your nominations through email until the 30th of September. The nominations will be transmitted to all of the Eurenssa 2008 participants and the votes will be admitted until the 7th of November. After this date, we will announce the host country for Eurenssa 2009!

Good Luck!

the end ?

So..

The kittens were saved and taken care of, the fountains were drained of their water, the presentations are over, the Tequilla was finally drank and Da Spoonz had their concert… what now ?

Now all that remains is that we have to keep these memories in our hearts until we shall meet again and have even more fun!

I hope all of you got home safely and I really hope Ilgin is not lost again.

Come back soon to check the photo gallery!

Bad news

Due to many last-minute registration requests, we are forced to move the registration deadline.

New deadline is Today, July 3rd, at 23.59.

Sorry we have to do this, but if we don’t we will be forced to practice some canibalism :D

So hurry up!

For those that are already registered, see you on the 13th.

Eurenssa – out and about

The grounds for the Eurenssa meetings were laid by a group of Latvian students which succeeded to attract in the event participants from approximately 15 countries, mostly European ones.

The first Eurenssa meeting took place in 2006 in Latvia and the second one in 2007 in Biesenthal, Germany. Romania was represented in both meetings by students from the Bucharest University and the Bucharest Politechnical University.

During our time spent there, we learned that a constructive approach is very specific to our field of interest. So relying on the good collaboration with our partners from other countries and on the diversity and richness of the natural capital of this country, we are determined to continue this recent but valuable tradition and be the hosts for Eurenssa 2008.
